News and appeals

Numerous arrests were made over this week.  Offences included actual bodily harm, wanted on warrant, domestic assault, burglary dwelling, grievous bodily harm, robbery, assault police, affray, shoplifting, drunk and disorderly, burglary other than dwelling, excess alcohol, threats to damage, drug driving and dangerous driving.

Crime summary


York Gardens, Littlehampton –On Sunday 14 April during the early hours of the morning an insecure property was entered and an Apple I-pod and purse stolen.  Serial 0445 of 15/04.
Mulberry Court, Pagham – On Monday 15 April an insecure garage was entered and a new cycle stolen.   Serial 1423 of 16/04.
Wessex Avenue, Aldwick – On Thursday 18 April a Hayter lawnmower was stolen from a garage.   Serial 0315 of 19/04.  
Longford Road, Orchard – Overnight on Thursday 11 April a vehicle was entered, untidy search but nothing reported stolen.  Serial 0681 of 15/04.
Longford Road, Orchard – Overnight on Wednesday 17 April a vehicle was broken into and prescription sunglasses stolen.  Serial 0505 of 18/04
Heghbrok Way, Aldwick – On Tuesday 16 April between 7.30 am and 8.00 am a vehicle was entered and loose change stolen.  Serial 0824 of 16/04
Gordon Avenue, Orchard – Overnight on Monday 15 April a vehicle was entered and designer sun glasses and a key was stolen.  Serial 0976 of 16/04.
Littlehampton, Arundel and Surround

St Mary Magdalenes Church, Madehurst – Between Friday 12 April and Saturday 13 April cash was stolen from a secure cupboard.   Serial 0527 of 16/04.
High Street, Littlehampton – On Wednesday 17 April the rear fire exit door to a business was forced; nothing reported stolen as the main office was not accessed.   Serial 0368 of 17/04.  
Glynde Close, Ferring – On Thursday 18 April, whilst occupant was gardening, a property was entered and a handbag stolen from the living room.    Serial 0667 of 18/04.
Hazel Road, Bersted – On Thursday 18 April between 10.30 pm and 11.15 pm a property was entered and various items of jewellery stolen.   Serial 1539 of 18/04.
Canada Road, Arundel – On Friday 19 April, between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm an insecure property was entered and a three pouches of tobacco stolen.  Serial 1158 of 19/04.  
Surrey Street, Littlehampton – Overnight on Sunday 14 April the window was smashed to a shop.   Serial 0964 of 15/04.
Anti-Social Behaviour

Canterbury Road, Rustington – On Saturday 20 April there was a report of six male youths drinking and being rowdy causing a nuisance to the residents.  Serial 0877 of 20/04
