This weekend our officers made 45 arrests across Chichester and Arun and there were a total of 67 arrests last week.
 
Offences include: Harassment, actual bodily harm, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, assault on Police, public order, domestic assault, shoplifting, threats to kill, theft, recall to prison, possession of a knife, driving under the influence of drugs, wanted on warrant and burglary.
 
Man charged with manslaughter following the death of a man at Bognor holiday park
Michael Loughlin sadly died in June last year after being involved in an assault.

Crime summary

Bognor


Havelock Road, Orchard – Overnight on Sunday 26 April a property was entered and a back pack, tobacco and other personal items were stolen.  Serial 0272 of 27/04.

Downview Road, Felpham – Overnight on Monday 27 April there was an attempt break to a property; no entry was gained however damage was caused to the front door. Serial 0119 of 29/04.

Aldwick Road, Marine – During the morning of Wednesday 29 April whilst the owner was grocery shopping, a vehicle was entered and a wallet and phone stolen.  Serial 0773 of 29/04.

Orchard Way, Orchard – On Monday 4 May at approximately 5.00 am, a rock was thrown at the rear window to a vehicle.  There were similar reports of vehicles having been damaged during the same time frame in Upper Bognor Road, Highcroft Avenue, Durlston Drive, Neville Road and Hook Lane.  We are continuing with our enquiries in relation to these incidents.  Serial 0308 of 04/05.

Richmond Avenue, Marine – During 6.30 pm on Thursday 8 May and 5.10 am on Friday 9 May, all four tyres to a vehicle were slashed.    Serial 0444 of 09/05.

Duncton Road, Rustington – On Thursday 30 April, during the day there was an attempt break to a property; no entry was gained however the front door had been tamped with.    Serial 1285 of 30/04.   

Westergate Street, Westergate – On Monday 4 May during the early hours of the morning the alarm was activated to a shop.   A staff member, when attending the premises, found a shoe mark on the rear door; no entry had been gained.  Serial 0475 of 04/05.

Lawrence Avenue, Rustington – On Tuesday 5 May during the early hours of the morning there was an attempt break to a property; no entry was gained but damage had been caused to the door handle.  Serial 0850 of 05/05.

Roundstone Crescent, East Preston – On Wednesday 6 May during early afternoon there was a report of two youths having stolen a ladies cycle from a garage.  Serial 0543 of 06/05.

New Park Road, Rustington – On Thursday 30 April the window was smashed to a vehicle and a mobile phone was stolen.  Serial 0715 of 30/04.

Goodhew Close, Yapton – Overnight on Friday 1 May a van was entered and a large quantity of tools stolen.  Serial 0292 of 01/05.
