The work of our Safer Neighbourhood Team |

Proactive, community-led neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our work in Runnymede, led by our Safer Neighbourhood Team. We're committed to listening to concerns raised by our communities and working together to find solutions. This week, we were in Addlestone speaking with residents about various issues and sharing crime prevention advice. Our next Meet the Beat will be on 21 October from 10-11am, at the Tesco on Egham High Street. Please come and say hello if you're in the area and want to chat to our team. As well as hearing from our local communities, there's so much that goes into the role for our neighbourhood police officers - which PC Abi Hayward knows well! One day Abi might be working with businesses to reduce opportunities for offenders to commit retail crime; the next she’s supporting victims of complex domestic abuse or building partnerships with local agencies to tackle an ongoing issue impacting residents. If you’ve spoken to Abi while out on patrol, you’ll know she’s passionate about helping our communities in Runnymede and that’s why she was recently commended for her commitment when she was awarded Neighbourhood Police Officer of the Year at the Chief Constable’s Annual Awards. Hear from Runnymede Borough Commander Ian Nash and Kerrie, an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer from Runnymede Borough Council, about the difference Abi’s making in the local community: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1408526021433167 | ||
