Bulletin 15 July 16th – July 29th 2026
Dear Residents Thinking of selling your vehicle? Have you considered some quick checks you could make, to ensure your sale runs smooth and safely?
Our officers are aware of a continuing number of scams targeting vehicles for sale online. These offences can typically involve individuals visiting private sellers for a viewing and test drive, either distracting the seller or asking them questions which force them away from the vehicle.
We are reminding the public to remain vigilant online, and offer the following advice when selling your vehicle privately: • Never leave potential buyers alone with your vehicle – consider organising to have someone with you when a viewing is arranged. • Listen to any advice offered by a company through which you are selling – online platforms occasionally provide information on private buyers which might make you think twice about who you are selling to. • If a potential buyer claims your vehicle is damaged and tries to haggle on the price, do not accept this and notify police. • If you have a Ring doorbell/CCTV system, make sure these are activated and working prior to a viewing. • Ask to see a copy of the potential buyer’s driving licence before they attend the viewing.

CRIME REPORTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Our Response Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.
There were 33 Arrests in the period July 13th - July 26th 2026 : Domestic Abuse / Violent Domestic Abuse 10 , Child at Risk 5 , Prescribed Limit Offence 3 , Alcohol Related 2, Violent Crime Other 1 , Theft 1, Hate/Diversity 1, Drunk/Drug In Charge 4, Crime Other 1, Arson 1, Grievous Bodily Harm 4 .
A 70-year-old man has been charged with arson following a fire in Tatsfield on Saturday, 25 July. Steven Danahar (17/06/1956), of Tatsfield, has been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered. He has appeared at Guildford Magistrates Court and was remanded to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Monday, 24 August.
On July 20th in Lingfield a driver was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs.
On July 22nd a male driver was arrested in Whyteleafe on suspicion of drug driving.
A male was arrested in Lingfield on July 26th after a road traffic collision for driving over the prescribed limit for drink and drugs.

SHIPLEY BRIDGE, FELCOURT, DORMANS PARK, DORMANSLAND AND SMALLFIELD
Criminal Damage
Wheelers Lane, Smallfield. Around 16.22 July 22nd two youths threw stones at a house smashing the window. A similar incident occurred between 12.55 and 13.15 on July 23rd (PR45260088849).
Theft Swissland Hill, Dormans Park. Around 11.00 July 25th a TE1000 Hilti Breaker was stolen from a construction site (PR45260090359).
Vehicle Crime
Green Lane, Shipley Bridge – Theft. Between July 17th and 24th index plates GL25YNY were stolen from a car (PR45260089333).
Felcourt Road, Felcourt – Keyless Theft. Between 10.30 and 12.44 July 27th a grey Landrover Defender index DE66NDR was stolen and was last seen in East Grinstead on an ANPR camera being driven by a male (PR45260091280).
Station Road, Dormansland – Theft. Between 07.00 and 17.30 July 28th index plates CX62WVO were stolen from a car (PR45260091708).
GODSTONE, BLETCHINGLEY AND SOUTH GODSTONE Vehicle Crime
Eastbourne Road, South Godstone – Keyless Theft. A silver Ford Fiesta ST index HT69SXF was stolen (PR45260089718).
High Street, Bletchingley – Theft. Around 02.20 July 28th two males were seen to drive off a white Yamaha Tracer 9 GT motorcycle index PE25BGF (PR45260090736).
Oxted Road, Godstone – Theft. Overnight July 28th to 29th a Kia Nero was stolen but later found in Blackheath (PR45260091255).
OXTED
Burglary Residential including Sheds and Garages East Hill , Oxted . Overnight July 18th to 19th a garage door was forced open with a crowbar and a black BMW `1250GS index GJ70YMZ and a 2025 red Honda CRF 250 were stolen (PR45260086974).
CATERHAM, CATERHAM ON THE HILL AND KENLEY Vehicle Crime Croydon Road, Caterham – Attempt Theft. At 00.41 July 16th two suspects drove a motorbike into the car park of a property and returned at 01.24. They jumped over a fence and attempted to gain entry to an off road buggy but failed (PR45260086154).
Croydon Road, Caterham – Theft. Between 11.00 July 25th and 07.00 July 27th a car was broken into and two Makita tool sets were stolen (PR45260090263).
Stafford Road, Caterham. Overnight July 17th to 18th a white Vauxhall Vivaro 2900 BITURBO CDT panel van index FJ18WYB was stolen (PR45260086607).
The Grove, Caterham On The Hill – Theft. Overnight July 20th to 21st a dash cam was stolen from an unlocked car (PR45260088040).
Moberley Drive, Kenley – Keyless Vehicle Theft. Around 23.30 July 22nd CCTV revealed a male climbing into the boot of a Kia EV6 before staring the vehicle and stealing it. The cat had a Tracker fitted and was found by the victim but tools had been stolen (PR45260088935).
WARLINGHAM, WOLDINGHAM AND TATSFIELD
Burglary Residential including Sheds and Garages
Park View Road, Woldingham. Around 21.00 July 19th a vacant property was entered by two suspects through a rear ground floor window after it was smashed. Damage was also caused to a first floor window which was forced open. The suspects were described as between 14 – 17 year sold, less than 5’ 11” tall, dark coloured afro style hair, wearing a yellow T shirt, sky blue shorts, black trainers and riding a black E Scooter. The second boy on a pushbike was white, same age, medium/skinny build and wearing a white T shirt, black/blue jeans (PR45260087726).
Woldingham Road, Woldingham. Around 01.35 July 27th an aggravated burglary took place when three unknown suspects entered a property armed with knives and stole cash tobacco, van keys and the victim’s mobile phone (PR45260090203).
Hamsey Green Gardens, Warlingham. Between 09.00 and 09.30 July 25th damage was caused to a garage door and garden gate by two males who arrived in a white Mercedes van. They left with some building materials before returning again at 15.00 but ere deterred by a neighbour. The van was seized by Kent Police some hours later for no insurance or tax (PR45260091377).
Farleigh Road, Warlingham - Theft. Overnight July 29th to 30th a blue Nissan Navara index LD68EGU was stolen from a driveway (PR45260091920).
Vehicle Crime Church Hill, Tatsfield – Theft. A white/yellow Husqvarna 701 Supermoto index HK18VUW was stolen (PR45260086587).
Limpsfield Road, Warlingham - Theft. Overnight July 23rd to 24th a grey Nissan Duke index KE19GGY was stolen (PR45260089166).
