Bulletin 12 June 4th – June 17th 2026
Dear Residents The Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to urge all our residents to be vigilant when an individual (man, woman or child) comes to your door without prior arrangement with you first. Please make sure that you use your door viewer or look through your window to see who is out there If someone is claiming to be from a utility company, always ask for their ID card and call the customer services department to confirm their story. Any genuine caller will not mind waiting. If you are not sure then don’t let them in your property. Most utility companies operate a password scheme and if it is something you will like to be part of, call the company you are with and set up a password. Any of their representatives will know this when they come to your house. Be wary of anyone who claims that they are in a hurry and need to get into your home quickly. At any time you feel unsure, schedule a time for the caller to come back again when a friend or relative can be with you. If you are concerned a caller is not genuine please call police on 999 in an emergency or the non-emergency number on 101 Thames Water: 0800 316 9800 SES Water 01737 772 000
