Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 28th May 2026 to 4th June 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough.

Car Crime This week there have been 2 reports of a suspected theft from car and 1 report of attempts to gain access to vehicles. Arrests. There were 40 arrests in the period May 28th 2026 to June 3rd 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 7, Rape/Sexual Offence 5, Drugs 3, Violent Crime in a Public Place 1, Harassment/Stalking 2, Hate/Diversity 1, Knife/Blade Possession 2, Child Protection 1, Master Occurrence 7*, Theft 1, Prescribed Limit 4, Fraud 2, Criminal Damage 1, Vehicle Crime 2, Prisoner Recall 1. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been 5 reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. Including Financial Abuse, Rogue Trader (Tree work) and an Advance Fee Payment Fraud

Central 29/05/2026 Between 19:09 to 20:19. Nailsworth Crescent, Merstham. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time but including keys. (PR 45260063460) Between 30/05/2026 23:00 to 31/05/2026 07:07. Evesham Road, Reigate. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of a car. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Car Keys, Car and Cash. (PR 45260063839) Between 31/05/2026 00:00 to 01/06/2026 09:51. Prices Lane, Reigate. Residential Burglary.
