Appeal for information following criminal damage of political signage in Elmbridge |
||
|
Surrey Police are appealing for information regarding reports of criminal damage of political signage in Elmbridge. We have received reports of signage being vandalised across the borough in recent days. Officers are carrying out enquiries and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area or has information which could assist the investigation. Elmbridge Borough Commander, Christopher Thoday, said: “We are progressing enquiries into reports of criminal damage and ask anyone with information that could assist our investigation to get in touch.” As part of our enquiries, we are encouraging residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to us. We also advise that, where possible, signage is placed in well-lit areas and within view of CCTV or video doorbell systems to help deter offences and support any investigations. If you have any information that may assist, please contact us via 101 or online via our website, quoting PR/45260043499. If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
