A closure order has been granted at an address in Row Town in Addlestone. This comes after officers obtained and executed a warrant last week based off reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the address. A woman in her 40s and a man in his 40s were arrested on suspicion of assisting the management of a brothel. They have both been bailed while enquiries continue. Two women, one in her 20s and one in her 30s, were arrested on suspicion of working while disqualified by reason of immigration status. They have subsequently been deported. Last Friday Runnymede Safer Neighbourhood Team and the ASB Specialist Team obtained a full closure order for the premises on Frankland Drive, which will run until 31 October. Investigating officer PC Arrow said, “Runnymede Safer Neighbourhood Team are committed to making the community a safer place. We listen to concerns, conduct a thorough investigation based on the information we receive, and take appropriate action. “These types of incidents not only impact on residents but enables organised crime. We would encourage everyone to report suspicious activity to us, no matter how small, as it may just be that missing piece of the jigsaw that completes the bigger picture.”

Earlier this week you may have seen a large police presence around Bourneside in Addlestone and our request for information about a bag. A pursuit of a Suron electric motorcycle was initiated on Weybridge Road on the way into Addlestone. We lost sight of it on the entrance to Bourneside however a male who we suspect to be involved was stopped on a silver bike. A bag was found nearby. The male has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B and conspiracy to commit theft and we have seized the silver push bike.

A man has been sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for stalking and drug running. Dion Reed Probert, 22 (DOB 09/09/2002), of Addlestone, was in police custody when officers discovered texts on his phone consistent with drug supply. The investigation that followed discovered he was dealing Class A drugs in Runnymede, advertising the various types of drugs he would soon have available to sell via text. During a court hearing, Reed Probert pleaded guilty to drug supply but claimed to be ‘a social dealer’ supplying only to his friends. The hearing found his claims to be untenable. He was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on 14 July 2025 to four and a half years in prison for being concerned in the supply of Class A (cocaine) and Class B (cannabis and ketamine). Reed Probert was also sentenced for stalking and perverting the course of justice, for which he was served a five-year restraining order and an additional six months in prison. Inspector Ian Nash, Borough Commander for Runnymede, said “Our officers will relentlessly pursue those who commit crime in Runnymede, and I’d like to thank the investigating teams for their hard work in securing this conviction.”

A man who was found guilty of manslaughter earlier this week has been sentenced to 13 years in prison today (1 August), after deliberately driving his car into a moped, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Wayne Wigley in July last year. Neil Sullingston, 53, (DOB: 09/06/1972), from Orpington, was travelling to work in his white Seat Ibiza along the A244 towards Esher on the morning of 1 July 2024. As he approached the traffic lights at the junction with Milbourne Lane, he noticed that a moped was behind him. Sullingston had previously reported the moped and its rider, Mr Wigley, in relation to road rage incidents they had both been involved in on 16 May 2024 and 5 June 2024. Dashcam and CCTV footage captured around 6.19am showed Mr Wigley throwing a rock at Sullingston’s car, causing the rear window to shatter, as both vehicles were approaching the traffic lights. Mr Wigley then entered the right filter lane and rode off towards the traffic lights. Mr Sullingston moved into the filter lane immediately behind in close pursuit, before driving straight into the rear of the scooter, making no attempt to brake or swerve. Mr Wigley was thrown from his moped, the impact resulting in his right lower leg being severed from his body, and catastrophic internal injuries. Despite the efforts of several members of the public, including an off-duty police officer, a paramedic and a fire officer and subsequent emergency services, Mr Wigley was sadly declared deceased at the scene. Mr Wigley’s family have paid tribute to him, saying: “Wayne is dearly missed by his seven children, his mum, dad, partner, sister and all his friends. He was well loved by all and would do anything for anyone. “He was strong-minded, loyal, generous and funny. A keen fisherman, a skilled banger racer and a gifted car mechanic. “We would like to thank all our family and friends for their support, which has helped us through the horror of what has happened.”
