Crime Report 24/03/24 to 05/04/24


Residential Burglary and other Crime Report

24th March to 5th April 2024

Dear Surrey Heath Residents

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the past week 24/03/24 to 05/04/24.  Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

BURGLARY BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY - 0

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - 4

Withy Close, LIGHTWATER – entry gained via rear doors, and personal items stolen.  Occurred between 00:00hrs on 20/03/24 and 14:07hrs on 25/03/24.

Minden Court, DEEPCUT – entry gained via ground floor window and untidy search of upstairs conducted and personal items and cash stolen.   Occurred at 20:45hrs on 28/03/204.

Bagshot Road, CHOBHAM – entry gained via bedroom window on the first floor, untidy search has taken place and a large amount of antique and sentimental jewellery have been stolen. Occurred at 19:45hrs on 29/03/24.

London Road, BAGSHOT – entry gained via large window at rear of property. Damage inside the property had taken place to various personal items.  Occurred between 12:38hrs on 28/03/24 and 11:00hrs on 04/04/24.

Theft from Motor Vehicle - 2

Bain Avenue, CAMBERLEY – theft of number plates – occurred between 02:00hrsand 15:00hrs on 25/03/24.

Portsmouth Road, CAMBERLEY – Theft of tools from transit van.  Occurred between 04/04/24 at 19:00hrs and 05/04/24 at 07:30hrs.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – 0

To provide a further idea of the criminal activities of the Surrey Heath Police neighbourhood and response teams in the past two weeks, there were 164 new incidents/occurrences being investigated during this period. A summary of relevant incidents by crime type is given below.

Criminal Damage – 7

Dangerous Dogs – 2

Drink spiking - 0

Drugs – 3

Fraud - 3

Harassment – 3

Hate crime/incident - 0

Prescribed Limited Offences (drink/drug driving) - 1

Public Order – 9

Robbery - 1

Sexual offences -2

Stalking – 0

Theft (including shopping lifting) – 16

Violent Crime – 13

Cybercrime/online fraud/online blackmail –  5

Please do not provide sexual images or videos to individuals you have only met online; this media can be used for blackmail.

Do not give your bank details or transfer money online unless you have taken due diligence to ensure they are a legitimate organisation, if in doubt DO NOT send money.  There are thousands of scams and they are getting smarter and more proactive, please be vigilant.
