Residential Burglary and other Crime Report

16th to 23rd March 2024

Dear Surrey Heath Residents

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the past week 16/03/24 to 23/04/24.  Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

BURGLARY BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY - 0

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - 4

2 x High Street, CHOBHAM – entry gained via rear patio doors, and cash has been taken.  Occurred between 21:00hrs on 16/03/24 and 05:34hrs on 17/03/24.

Turpins Rise, WINDLESHAM – entry gained via rear door and bleach used by perpetrators.  An untidy search has taken place and personal items have been taken.  Occurred between 07/03/24 and 22/03/24.

Birchwood Drive, LIGHTWATER – entry gained via rear conservatory door, untidy search has taken place and a large sum of cash and personal items have been taken from a safe. Occurred around 19:30hrs on 21/03/24.

Theft from Motor Vehicle - 3

Burrell Road, FRIMLEY – theft of aerial – occurred between 17:00hrs on 1/3/24 and 06:30hrs on 18/03/24.

The Woodlarks, BAGSHOT – Theft of items from transit van.  Occurred between 04:45hrs and 05:30hrs on 22/03/24.

Bailey Close, FRIMLEY – access gained to two vehicles and personal items and cash stolen. 19:00hrs 21/03/24 and 08:15hrs 22/03/24.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – 2

Pevensey Way, FRIMLEY – theft of vehicle (Mercedes) occurred between 00:00hrs and 10:00hrs 22/03/24.

Sheridan Road, FRIMLEY – theft of vehicle (Ford) occurred between 22:50hrs on 21/03/24 and 03:51hrs on 22/03/24.

To provide a further idea of the criminal activities of the Surrey Heath Police neighbourhood and response teams in the past two weeks, there were 113 new incidents/occurrences being investigated during this period. A summary of relevant incidents by crime type is given below.

Criminal Damage – 4

Dangerous Dogs – 0

Drink spiking - 0

Drugs – 1

Harassment – 4

Hate crime/incident - 1

Prescribed Limited Offences (drink/drug driving) - 1

Public Order – 7

Robbery - 0

Sexual offences -2

Stalking – 0

Theft (including shopping lifting) – 14

Violent Crime – 10

Cybercrime/online fraud/online blackmail – 4

Please do not provide sexual images or videos to individuals you have only met online; this media can be used for blackmail.

Do not give your bank details or transfer money online unless you have taken due diligence to ensure they are a legitimate organisation, if in doubt DO NOT send money.  There are thousands of scams and they are getting smarter and more proactive, please be vigilant.
